Enjoyable light reading. This is an extreme perspective on dating and social awkwardness with several parallels to the adolescent Netflix series Atypical and reminds me a bit of Daniel Tammet's 2006 non-fiction memoir "Born On A Blue Day". It is always intriguing to encounter anyone with a very different way of thinking, albeit fictional in this case. I recall working as a substitute teacher 25 years ago and struggling to help an adult student who could not grasp the concept of negative numbers, which had seemed so intuitive to me before that. I'm glad I signed out the book at the same time as the audio book because I only listened to the first cd driving to/from work before reading the rest myself that evening instead of waiting for the next day's drive.
