An enjoyable read for our library-lead book club. Most participants rated a 3 or 3.5 but all said they would have rated it higher if the title was different. They all agreed the main protagonist was Frankie Bard and that the postmistress (postmaster!), was more of a minor character. We enjoyed the novel for its historical accounts of WWII from a bit of a different perspective.
