One of Dreamwork's best animated films. It included a mixture of CGi and 2D animation during the intro, which actually worked nicely. Another great creative aspect is the lack of dialogue with the horse characters, and using animation for what it was created for: visual storytelling. By this, I mean they learned to portray the horses through animating their thoughts and feelings through actions, which requires learning about the subjects' communication style. The minimal voice overs are that of narrative, or from the human characters. The rest is handled by the soundtrack, starring Bryan Adams. I often wonder why this studio gave up doing work like this! Overall, it is an inspiring film following the harsh life changes of wild horses, that encourages viewers to tackle their own life.
