The critically acclaimed and very popular 1966 Bill Cosby stand-up comedy LP album. Recorded live, in performance. Re-released in CD format. Cosby is really at his best here. Unlike the current established-celebrity Cosby, the 1966 up-and-coming Cosby speaks like a real person would speak. Everything tuned to a "T", he's clearly working hard to make his comedic point. Later in career, as part of his celebrity-persona presumably, Cosby developed his more informal, and phony-sounding, "Cosby Drawl" speech affectation. But that is not present here. "Go Carts" is my favorite of the 8 routines, followed by "Playground". But they are all good. Not topical, plays as well in 2014 as 1966. Recommended.
