Add a CommentI love these books. I've read all of them and this was another great book. Another mystery where the Chief of Police had to interact with the Amish community.
Murder mystery set in Amish country, a continuation of the Kate Burkholder series. I enjoyed this book: the plot was good and fast-paced.
I have loved all of her books with Sheriff Kate and Amish people and this one did not let me down. This was a really good story.
really suspenseful and multiplot. wish less cussing but itscops, adult read
This is a great addition to this series about the Amish and Kate Burkholder, police chief. She meets her a childhood friend who has escaped from prison, after being convicted of the murder of his wife. The story that follows shows her friend in a bad light with tales of drugs , drunkness and spousal abuse that appears to have lead to the murder of his wife. With only his word and a convincing story by his five year old daughter, she moves down the road of discovery trying to clear his name. Good story well developed until the very end.
