This book is a chapter book that second graders could enjoy. Some third graders will grow tired of the animal characters and want more adventure or relatability. I read half but became tired of Rylant's agenda of promoting Green, global harmony and New Age Humanism. Those of you who seek to be one with life's forces and believe the answer to man's problems can be found within himself & his innate goodness won't mind exposing your children to this. I post this as a head's up to those who, like myself, know the poison in this mindset and would expose their children to it with caution.

My 8 yr old son says this was the funniest book we read all summer! Guaranteed to make you all giggle. Enjoy.

There’s a drought in Gooseberry Park, and the animals that live there are starting to feel nervous, especially for the babies who’ve just been born. Luckily for them, a group of animals hatches a plan that would allow everyone to have a much-needed drink of water.
