In time for the motion picture event from the production team that brought us Heaven is for Real, Miracles from Heaven--starring Jennifer Garner and Queen Latifah--is the inspiring true story of healing and family love.

Annabel Beam spent most of her childhood in and out of hospitals with a rare and incurable digestive disorder that prevented her from living a normal, healthy life. One sunny day when she was able to go outside and play with her sisters, she fell three stories headfirst into an old, hollowed-out tree. Implausibly, she survived without a scratch. While unconscious inside the tree, with rescue workers struggling to get to her, she visited heaven. After being released from the hospital, she defied science and had inexplicably recovered from her chronic ailment.

A remarkable family drama and uplifting, hope-filled memoir, Miracles from Heaven will change how we look at the world around us. Includes a photo insert and discussion guide.

I didn't like the book as much as I liked the movie. I lost my focus from time to time reading the book. Won't read it again. I will enjoy the book a lot better.

The book Miracles From Heaven by author Christy Wilson Beam - between starting and finishing this book, I watched the movie. I must state that unlike the movie the book did not flow nearly as well and of course there was a lot of facts portrayed in the movie that were not supported exactly as described in the book. Needless to say, I enjoyed the movie more. This inconsistency does leave the reader asking which version is closer to the actual events and timeline but it should not detract from the Miracle that took place.

However, this is an incredible story. How does one explain or dismiss this documented Miracle? A young girl with incurable diseases: pseudo-obstruction motility disorder and antral hypomotility disorder, falls head first 30 feet into a hollow tree, has an out-of-body experience, visits Heaven and sits on the lap of Jesus, and is sent back cured.

Jennifer Garner and Martin Henderson did superb jobs playing the roles of Christy and Kevin Beam. Watch for Kylie Rogers who played Anna Beam in more movies, she was magnificent. Recommended reading by Senior Doctor-at-Bass! D. A.

Very enjoyable book and I have no doubt that once again GOD worked HIS miracles .
Hopefully down the road someday this girl who was miraculously healed will write a follow up on the direction her life went .

For an 'inspirational' novel, I really enjoyed it, because it was believable, wonderful, & wasn't too-too religious (as some others I have read, especially those whose faith seems so strong that they talk about it constantly to others, even strangers, & they seem to pray over every single minor thing). That family was very lucky to have this miracle happen to them. It was nicely told.

I found myself pleasantly surprised by this, reading it one early fall afternoon. Read it in a single sitting.

Even as a Christian, it was difficult not to cringe at how the mom the narrator portrays her family as nothing but perfect and happy. She makes it seem as if her family never fights or gets stressed despite their dire circumstances which is utterly fake and self-boosting for nothing.

I am ordering this book because I watched the movie at the theater! That was super good! They need to get the movie....at the library system! I am going to read this and as the saying goes "The books are always better than the movies," so this should be amazing!

Wonderful story of a little girl who has an amazing healing from God after falling 30feet down inside a hollow tree!

I really liked this book, and believe every word of it. It's funny how Jesus does his work everyday, and no one knows a thing about it. Sometimes one write's a book or two, but most stories that are true go untold. I liked the book more than the movie, you get to know the people better, and its from the real people involved, not from some movie star.
