I loved this book it was heart wrenching and sad and beautiful with glimpses of hope and despair and emotional roller coaster at the very least. It reminds us how precious life is how innocent children are and how horrible war can be. I think adolescence should read this book. I think it's has important lessons, without being overly graphic about the horrors of the Holocaust. There are a few discriptive areas, but it only scratches the surface of what was. Also an easy read.

It was extremely emotional but I just don't think this is my kind of book. However, it did make me think about how lucky I am to have the things I do have, even though I might not have everything that I want. I am lucky to have the family and friends I do and I don't think I could have made it this far without them. But to those who liked it and like this kind of criteria should follow me... try something different, surprise your friends, twist thinks up a little and have a blast!!!

I have read over 10 books on the topic of the Holocaust, from Clara's War to Schindler's List. This one is by far my favourite, having expressed from the point of view of a child who doesn't even know who he is.
