Everyone knows a couple like Jack and Grace. He has looks and wealth; she has charm and elegance. He's a dedicated attorney who has never lost a case; she is a flawless homemaker, a masterful gardener and cook, and dotes on her disabled younger sister. Though they are still newlyweds, they seem to have it all. You might not want to like them, but you do. You're hopelessly charmed by the ease and comfort of their home, by the graciousness of the dinner parties they throw. You'd like to get to know Grace better.
But it's difficult, because you realize Jack and Grace are inseparable.
Some might call this true love. Others might wonder why Grace never answers the phone. Or why she can never meet for coffee, even though she doesn't work. How she can cook such elaborate meals but remain so slim. Or why she never seems to take anything with her when she leaves the house, not even a pen. Or why there are such high-security metal shutters on all the downstairs windows.
Some might wonder what's really going on once the dinner party is over, and the front door has closed.
From bestselling author B. A. Paris comes the gripping thriller and international phenomenon Behind Closed Doors .

Comment
Add a CommentThe content of this book isn't for those who squirm. However, if you can stomach the details this is a great book that I completed in a day just to find out what happened. Great read and would definitely recommend.
What a stunning debut novel by B. A. Paris that grips you with such disturbing intensity and pulls you right in. The characters are very real and you've met some controlling characters in your life but it's doubtful you've ever run into one of the magnitude of the antagonist. There is no atmospheric fluff in the just under 300 pages of the novel and I challenge you to try and sleep before you find out what happens and you have to read to the very last page to find out.
Utterly brilliant and I doubt the author can do a follow-up novel this engaging.
GREAT BOOK!!! Lots of stuff going on, puts you into shock at first like is this for real.
Another frustrating read...reminded me why i stopped reading 50 shades of grey when it first came out...after 20 pages. Uncomfortable right through...
He has looks and wealth...she has charm and elegance...Jack and Grace seem to be the
perfect couple and have the perfect marriage but not everything is what it seems...dark...
twisted...psychological thriller

Honestly keeps you on the edge of your seat
Excellent finish! Recommended for readers who think this sentence is much too long and descriptive.
I agree with a lot of the other comments. I felt anxious the whole time I read this book, but had to finish it because it HAD to finish better... the abuse, the animal cruelty, the prospect of abuse towards the disabled. This book sucked. Gave me nightmares.
There is enough animal abuse in the real world that it takes a real loser to decide to make some up. Horrible author and book.
While I understand there are relationships in the real world parallel to this story, I could NOT continue. For anyone who has triggers around abuse of innocence and animals, PICK A DIFFERENT BOOK.
