I enjoyed reading Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne, but it didn’t shine brightly from other fantasy and medieval books I’ve already read. On the other hand, it does have a very exciting and surprising plot twist which makes you read further on. I find that the beginning of the book is slow and confusing due to Blackburne changing perspectives between the two main characters. I do like that the characters are not perfect, each of them has faults, that creates more depth and I can relate to the characters. Midnight Thief is a teen book, so I don’t recommend it to young readers. I give this novel a 3.5/5 star. There is a sequel, so I’m definitely going to read it.

Real twisty and dark! I liked it, but like others said, it moved rather slowly in the beginning. Otherwise, it was really well written.

AMAZING! I will admit that any book with a female assassin is usually on my to read list, however, this one really is worth a recommendation. This novel is fantasy mixed with a medieval time period and some Demon Cat Riders thrown in. Don't start it right before bed time unless you are prepared to lose sleep.

This was a pretty interesting read. A little slow at the beginning but it eventually picks up and the main characters Kyra and Tristam will keep you captivated till the end.
