Every parent should have BOTH their daughter and sons watch this movie. Some of the incidents were dangerous setups that young girls need to be aware of but I think it's important that parents teach their kids about developing healthy relationships and beware of certain situations.

The college can only do so much to set into place prevention measures but some of the college depicted in this documentary did NOTHING to support the poor girls who were 'literally' attacked. This needs to change, pronto.

If you have a college age daughter you need to watch this documentary together BEFORE she goes to college. When will women's lives be as valued as men?!?! Haunting, effective and shameful!

Worth watching. The institutional cover-ups are astonishing

A very insightful and astonishing documentary. Having been a victim of intense bullying and sexual harassment at the university of the fraser valley, and having watched them attempt to cover it up I figured I would be somewhat prepared for this film. But, the sheer number of universities commiting similar actions is shocking. However, for once I didn't feel as alone in my struggle to get justice against a business that has no sense of compassion or ethics (and now I see why WOW). I may just seek out the women from the film for guidance, even if they're in another country. Thanks again to the fvrl for keeping such fascinating (and in this case frightening) documentaries in their roster.

As a parent with three daughters and a son in college, this is a terrifying look at the lack of responsibility universities have shown as they are blinded by sports money. Moral of the story is go the hospital ER, report to police off campus first, report to the university as many times as it takes. Victims must report, report, report as soon as possible and as often as needed to get results.
That being said, everyone at any age needs to use common sense! Don't drink too much, watch your drink, and travel with a group!

It's astonishing that this documentary has to exist. If universities and colleges took responsibility for the criminal actions taking place on their campuses, this documentary would be meaningless. Unfortunately, we don't live in that world. THE HUNTING GROUND tells the all-too-real story of how postsecondary education faculty and administrators conceal rape and sexual assault on their campus, a crime that is only growing because it seemingly has no consequence in the current system. At epidemic proportions, college students (often but not exclusively women) are raped; these incidents are rarely reported, and considering the treatment a rape victim gets when they do report, it is no wonder that these students shy away from it all. This phenomenon has to stop. THE HUNTING GROUND exposes the despicable behavior masked behind the allegedly pristine reputations of even the previous Ivy League. I highly recommend this documentary.
