This movie challenges us as to what we perceive as alien and how our own reactions could be used against us. Aliens could be human, and could use technologies that create the illusion of something else being alien. Looking as human as those on the planet they could easily fit in as survivors or combatants of the "alien" invasion. People might accept them and ally with them not realizing it isn't in their best interests. When in this story a few open their mind to the possibilities that their perception of what might be "alien" is wrong. They try to find their freedom and survive. That is in the face of others who call them paranoid and still insist that they aren't aliens but other "people"(humans) trying to deal with the situation.

This is a pretty interesting movie, though they need a sequel. Good effects also.

It was kind of an original story but it was very predictable. I guessed every major plot surprise. The ending kind of leaves you hanging.

I'm not sure why Hollywood screen writers' have such a difficult time writing scripts that have an original plot, but once again they managed to fail spectacularly. This movie was a real let-down. The description on the case sounded interesting, but unfortunately it was very predicable, with a cliched plot line that was easily seen through, and the characters were very 2-dimensional.

The plot was interesting and fun to watch, but they use Our LORD's name in vain a few times. Not highly recommended.

I'm a huge sci fi fan, but I didn't care to much for this.

This movie was actually pretty good. "They saw our hope as a weakness. They were wrong." Interesting moral. Despite what other reviewers say, I think 'The Fifth Wave' was a suspenseful, fascinating movie.

Not as bad as I'd expected from reviews--pretty interesting, although the ending felt a bit plot hammered!
