The reluctant heroine, Mary Stirling, has read many Nancy Drew books. Mary finds herself immersed in mystery at the Boston Naval Yard prior to the bombing of Pearl Harbor in 1941. She also develops romantic feelings towards an old acquaintance, Jim Avery, who is an ensign in the U.S. Navy.

This is a sweet romantic novel, set in the historical and beautiful city of Boston. The characters are charming, and there is much to celebrate within the pages.

This is Book One in the Waves of Freedom series.

This sweet, adorable and suspenseful romance warrants a sure applause, and a "thank you" to Sarah Sundin. I mean, all the books I read from this author are delightful but this one was more so because I felt that I related to the heroine on critical growth elements. Excellent character development per usual. Fans of Sundin will enjoy this new series. I'm looking forward to the next installment to be released this May.

This book is fantastic! Mystery, suspense, history, and romance are combined by Sarah Sundin to make a wonderful read! The WWII setting is well developed, the characters are adorable, and the plot is fascinating! The Boston historical tidbits are both insightful and delightful. Readers will fall in love with Sarah's new series!
