A CBA Bestselling Author -- This compelling tale of redemption and restoration, set in eighteenth-century Scotland, takes readers on an unforgettable journey from the depths of loss and grief to the heights of passion and hope. When Elisabeth and Marjory Kerr leave behind the crowded streets of Edinburgh to flee to the Borderland, they've lost their husbands, their titles, their property, and nearly everything they hold dear. As supporters of Bonnie Prince Charlie's rebellion, they've been branded as traitors and outcasts. An accomplished seamstress, Elisabeth eventually finds work as a dress maker for the local gentry. Will their scandalous ties to the Jacobite rebellion prevent them from finding safety and peace at last?

Of the two books in the series, this is my favorite, although I highly recommend the series. It is a wonderful retelling of the Book of Ruth.

Wonderful conclusion to the story, beautifully set in Scotland. The author does justice to the biblical account of Ruth, Naomi and Boaz. A great read!
