I have to say, I did not expect this film to be as good as it was. Another great addition to the buddy cop genre, as well as a satire of it, this film has huge laughs, and good action sequences. Ferrel and Wahlberg have great chemistry, and the film had me laughing continuously. I also liked how well-done the action sequences were for the kind of film it was, and I really, really enjoyed it. 10/10.

Pretty standard silly, predictable Will Ferrell comedy-but it was ok. Interesting statistics roll at the end that bring you back to corporate larceny

Interesting commentary on money, corruption. It has Will Ferrell too!

Contrary to what the DVD cover promised, I did not die laughing at this movie. Probably because there were hardly any laughs. I really wanted to like this movie. Sadly, after the first five minutes it was a steady downhill ride. I think they tried being funny, but it turned out either lame, offensive, in poor taste, or a combination of the three.

FUNNY! Take this for what it is, a silly and over-obvious lob-ball joke movie. Best watched after two drinks and with friends. Nothing offensive or controversial, just funny bits put together in a film. Wahlbergs affection for Eva Mendez is beautiful. Critical comments must have come from people who were expecting something intelligent, which this isn't. It is funny one-liners and comedic scenes that spoof the action genre very nicely.. Have a drnk and enjoy a good laugh!

Good not the best but still enjoyable.

Amusing take on the buddy cop genre. Mark Wahlberg is legitimately funny in this pre-Ted comedic role, Will Ferrell less so as the straightlaced partner. Michael Keaton pops up in a supportying role but is sadly underutilized. All told, this movie probably belongs 2 rungs below "Hot Fuzz" in its subgenre totem pole.

This movie was sooo funny. Both Will Farrell and Marc Wahlberg were hilarious. This movie definitely surprised me.

Samuel Jackson and Dwayne Johnson were the best part of this film.

Obnoxious stars camping it up for their own egos. Tiresome.

Captain Gene Mauch: You know what, I'm going to hang onto the wooden gun.
Allen Gamble: To give me back my real gun?
Captain Gene Mauch: No. I'm going to give you this... It's a rape whistle. You blow that if you're in any trouble, and someone with an actual gun will come and help you out.
Allen Gamble: [Quietly blows the whistle]

Sexual Content: While there is no sex or nudity at all in this film, there are some pretty inappropriate instances of sex talk and joking, and an especially cute conversation between Ferrel's character and his character's wife near the end. Overall, it's not that bad.

Coarse Language: Moderate, mostly PG-13 level language. There are 3 f-words in the post-credits scene, but that's the only strong language.

Sexual Content: Nothing too visual, but some raunchy words near the end.

When the two head policemen in the NYPD die in the line of duty, it is up to two misfits, a nerd and a policeman who shot Derek Jeter, to step up. They are quickly lapped by two policemen who are actually bad cops, but given their low status, the misfits cannot overtake them... until they accidentally find a case about a ponzi scheme, that has slid right under everyone else's nose. The two take on this tough case and battle through relationship turmoil, turmoil within the NYPD, and turmoil with the bad guys. The Other Guys is a great movie that shows that sometimes the laughingstocks are the ones that will win.
