My 4 year old and I read this book last night & loved it! Cute rhymes, Nice twist on the old lady who swallowed a fly.

I read this book aloud in both Toddler Storytime (ages 2-3) and Family Storytime (all ages). It's one of those books that I thought the kids would love, but their response was a bit meh. I love the vibrant, cut-paper collage artwork set against a black background, and the rhymes are a little bit of a stretch (dyin' and lion) but good enough. This is a book I wanted the kids to love as much as I do, but they just didn't seem to appreciate it. It might work better with an older crowd, such as early elementary school aged kids or younger kids who have a mature appreciation for monsters.
