Subtitled when needed.
Very eye opening. Sad how women are treated like criminals & are shamed (once married they cannot remarry when husband dies as they are considered used goods).

This book is about widows (many of them young, but many old) in India. What happens to them when their husbands die. While this is not a real pick-me-up kind of movie, I appreciated being able to see inside of India. Monkey's in an urban area, and a couple of poignant scenes contrasting the nouveau riche with the lives of many widows. It is nice to see that there are people who care and there is even a Canadian connection that I found very intriguing.
