Well worth getting this book to see the amazing artwork in a variety of styles/techniques. Try it and see. You'll like it.

Although this wordless picture book has an interesting concept (a boy visits an art gallery and travels through paintings by Canadian artists), it would have been improved by including some information about the artists and the titles of the works included at the end for those who may be less familiar with their work. There is only a list of the Canadian artists provided.

However, this is a good choice for imaginative children who like to create their own stories. Wordless picture books are a great tool to use to allow children the opportunity to develop and express their own storytelling and sequencing skills - and who hasn't had the urge to jump into a painting?
