Way too much exposition in the first chapter. Writing seemed a bit clumsy, so I did not continue.

Rattling the Bones - The story revolves around Fran Varady, an amateur detective with the Duke Detective Agency. Fran has long befriended an elderly bag-lady by the name of Edna. In protecting her from harm, Fran finds herself digging into the past. But, by rattling the bones of Edna's earlier life, Fran uncovers far more than she's bargained for.
