"There's no such thing as too many cookies..."
As a lover of the, If You Give A.... book series, I wanted to see what this book was all about. If it were a movie, I would call it a movie short.
Mouse likes to bake cookies. He gets his music on while he bakes. Baking wears him out. He takes a nap. Oops, burned cookies. He starts over and makes a pile of cookies which he shares.
This book was adorable and the illustrations cute. I loved the mouse's "I'm the Boss" apron. But the story was much too short (19 pages). I would have liked to see more aspects of the baking process. Mouse didn't simply conjure the cookies out of thin air. If you have a child with a very short attention span, then this length of book would be excellent. It would also be a fun accompaniment to baking day.
Cooking made simple, with a message of sharing.
my three-year-old thoroughly enjoyed this story and has requested it almost daily throughout the loan. The illustrations have lots of fun details.
