Very disappointing. I was expecting something like "The Gods must be Crazy," which had a good plot, lots of gags, and a flowing story line. This one is like watching paint dry. However, you might find it interesting if you are studying Mongolian anthropology.

A beautiful film about the lives of young Mongolian boys and their families living on the steppes. The boys find a Ping-Pong ball floating in the river, and not knowing what it is, they begin a journey to find out. One of the best explorations of childhood wonder I have ever seen on film; and extraordinary cinematography, also.

Awesome scenery beautifully photographed. Interesting to see the mix of modern culture and traditions in the characters everyday life.

The pace of this film is that of a leisurely walk across the grasslands. It did make us slow down the evening that we watched it.
