Good listen. Not as entertaining as the first Guide book. But a good continuation of the saga. Read by Martian Freeman, AKA Arthur from the Hitchhiker movie. I really want to continue with the rest of the books now.

Just previous to reading this wonderfully witty book I was engaged in the fruitless exercise of trying to get TVO’s The Agenda to correct the errors in their charts of budget balances in their “Deficits: Past, Present and Future” episode of October 9, 2015. I was told repeatedly, against all logic, that there was no need to change anything as their charts were accurate. It reminded me of the notice regarding “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” to be found in this book (see p. 30), which was given to litigants intent on suing the book’s publisher for damages incurred due to inaccuracies in the book: “This was the gist of the note. It said, ‘The Guide is definitive. Reality is frequently inaccurate.’”
The second volume of a trilogy is often the weakest link. (Think of Nino Ricci’s “In a Glass House”, the second volume of his trilogy that started with “Lives of the Saints”.) But here the second volume is if anything even stronger than the first. Perhaps it is because it is the second volume of a trilogy in five parts!

Not nearly as entertaining as the first, and somewhat of a narration let down after the Stephen Fry version of Hitchhiker's Guide (which was amazing!), but still a very entertaining book. True to form Adams keeps you thinking and laughing throughout the entire text.

A worthwhile listen to continue the adventures of Book 1, but not something I would revisit again.
