Not as good as War Horse. Should of just left War Horse alone. This doesn't have the horse talking, so it isn't as emotional. This book has Albert as an old guy, and his grandson was the one who had to drag the main part of the story out of him. As said before....not much detail.

This is billed as a sequel to War House. I enjoyed it but it did not have the same level of detailed descriptions as War Horse and wasn't written from the viewpoint of the horse.

This is more like a short story instead of a sequel. About the first quarter goes into telling the story of War Horse, and then it's basically Albert's son telling his own grandson about a race he and his father had against Harry Medlicott, a farmer who bragged that his new tractor was better than Zoey and Joey...
There are lots of illustrations by Michael Foreman, and an interview with the author, Michael Morpurgo, in the back.
